Dragon Awards 2008
The Lord Mayor's Dragon Awards 2008 were launched on 12 May, and
organisations supported by the City Bridge Trust are invited to
nominate their corporate partners for an award.
The Dragon Awards recognise and reward businesses and public
bodies in Greater London for their corporate community involvement.
The awards scheme helps to raise awareness of some of the
successful partnerships benefitting people across the capital.
Winning companies and their charity partners receive wide press
coverage of their programme or project.
If a company or public body supports your organisation through
the provision of volunteers, financial or in-kind donations,
professional skills mentoring or work experience programmes for
your service-users, why not nominate them for a Dragon Award? The
application process is straightforward but we do ask you to discuss
your application with the business involved. In the past, companies
have commented that it is a great way for their community partners
to recognise and thank them for their support.
All applications must be entered into one of the following
categories:
- Education
- Economic regeneration
- Social inclusion
- Heart of the City (for organisations that have set up a
corporate community involvement programme in the last three
years)
- Volunteer of the year
The Lord Mayor will also choose an organisation with a truly
exceptional programme which will be awarded the Lord Mayor's
Award.
